Toenail surgery is one of the treatments our patients write about most, often after a long run of problems that kept coming back.
Matt was incredible at dealing with our son’s ingrown toe nail. He was informative yet approachable for both us and our teenager. Nothing was ever too much trouble and no question was too daft to ask. There was no pressure from Matt to take a particular route to resolution just honest advice based on years of experience.
Used Matt for toe nail surgery and would highly recommend. I had a couple of failed attempts through NHS services where the problem kept persisting… He was very thorough and great to deal with throughout.
The whole procedure was fully explained before hand with documentation to explain the whole procedure as well as recovery… I travelled all the way from Swansea area to seek treatment and it was 100% worth it.

Stubborn verrucas that have not responded to over-the-counter treatments are a common reason for a first visit.
My son had been suffering from verrucas’s for years and the situation was painful and getting worse. We had tried every over-the-counter treatment and nothing worked. After a consultation at feet in focus we decided to opt for the dry needling… the results were brilliant, the verrucas’s took a few months to totally clear up but all went. Two years on there has been no recurrence.
I had a nasty verrucas cluster bugging me for a long while, which Mathew successfully got rid of with a needling session. I was apprehensive to start with given that success is not guaranteed, but to my pleasure and surprise after two months it was completely gone.

Matthew was very knowledgable and quick to diagnose the issue, providing a gait analysis that confirmed why I was experiencing the pain. Matthew took my measurements for a pair of custom orthotic insoles that would provide me with the support I needed. The process was quick and simple, and a year later, I have next to no pain when I walk.
It was reassuring to see the video gait analysis with my own eyes and to have it explained… Even now Mathew has emailed me to ask how I am getting on and checked some excercises I have been doing.

I’m an ultrarunner and I’ve been coming here for almost ten years… Over the years, I have had gait analysis filmed from several different angles to see what was really going on, basic orthotics, and exercise plans to fix various injuries or weaknesses… Mathew doesn’t sell you things you don’t need.
With a painful toe only days before running the London marathon I called Feet in Focus in desperation. They found me an appointment within the hour… I finished the marathon completely pain free.
Matthew has been great in explaining exactly what the issue is together with some recommendations for managing the pain with specific exercises. I have also had a steroid injection which has finally eradicated the pain and I can finally start running again.
