Verrucae are a contagious virus that seem to thrive in damp conditions such as swimming pools, showers and bathrooms. Verrucae often disappear by themselves fairly quickly. However they can become troublesome and even painful for long periods of time.
The common treatment for verrucae are gels or ointments from the chemist however these treatments can burn the surrounding skin if not used with care and they can even make the verrucae more resistant to further treatment.
At Feet in Focus we are able to diagnosis, offer advice on suitable over the counter treatments and even treat verrucae with our newly introduced cryotherapy treatment, which removes the verrucae by freezing. |
