 Nail Surgery
The procedure required by each individual can vary greatly ranging from removal of just the edge of the nail in the majority of cases or removal of the whole nail in severe cases. The recommended treatment will be fully discussed on initial assessment with our H.P.C registered podiatrist/ chiropodist, on your first appointment the severity of the in-growing nail will need to be assessed so the correct treatment can be recommended and performed at a time convenient to you.
Conservative Treatment
Many patients with in-growing toenails do not require surgery as simple trimming, filing and an effective dressing regime can settle many mild cases; this treatment will be performed on the initial assessment if deemed the most appropriate treatment by our podiatrist.
